Registration is open for POP Week 2026, a four-day series of events designed to connect inventors, executives, media, and fans across the toy and game industry. Organized by People of Play (POP), a division of The Toy Association, the event will take place Nov. 5-8 in Rosemont, Illinois.
“POP Week is where connections turn into collaborations and ideas become reality,” said Mary Couzin, senior vice president and Founder of People of Play at The Toy Association. “We’ve seen incredible stories unfold here, from new inventors stepping into the spotlight to bold ideas winning the attention of global companies and lasting partnerships born from chance conversations.
POP Week brings together multiple industry events focused on innovation, networking, and consumer engagement. Highlights include the Global Inventor Pitch & Innovation Conference, where inventors can present ideas to toy and game companies, attend educational sessions, and connect with industry mentors. The conference runs Nov. 5-7 at the Embassy Suites Chicago O’Hare Rosemont.
The week also includes the Toy & Game Innovation Excellence (TAGIE) Awards Nov. 6 at Joe’s Live Concert Venue. The annual awards recognize inventors, marketers, retailers, and other industry professionals behind influential toys and games.
“The energy of POP Week is contagious,” Couzin adds. “It truly shows the power of our industry when people come together to support and celebrate play.”
POP Week concludes with the Chicago Toy & Game Fair (CHITAG), North America’s largest consumer toy and game event, held Nov. 7-8 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. The event brings together families, influencers, inventors, and media to preview toys and games ahead of the holiday season during its “Wishlist Weekend” showcase.
