Mantic Games is launching a Kickstarter campaign to bring Plants vs. Zombies to consumers’ tabletop experiences. Plants vs. Zombies: The Board Game is an officially licensed game that will bring the video game’s adventures to family game nights.
The Plants vs. Zombies: The Board Game is a cooperative tabletop experience that captures the franchise’s comedy and chaos. Designed for 1-4 players, the title features elements from the video game, including Peashooters, Cherry Bombs, and Wall-nuts.
In this game, players work together to outsmart zombie hordes by growing defensive plant lines. Gameplay also features a series of levels, in which players learn the game as they unlock new challenges, plants, and zombies. New gaming elements will be available through the Zen Garden Campaign, with difficulty scaling to match the group’s skill.
Consumers can gain early access to the title by supporting the Kickstarter campaign. Backers receive a collector’s edition, exclusive content, and the opportunity to play the game before it reaches mass audiences.
