Mugen Gaming, in partnership with Vala Foundry, launches a Kickstarter campaign for the English edition of En-nichi.
Capturing the spirit of traditional matsuri, En-nichi is a festival board game that unites players through cozy competition. Through its Japanese designers, this title brings festival atmospheres to tabletops through inviting stalls, games, and artwork.
With the Kickstarter campaign, Mugen Gaming will offer an English edition that still preserves the warmth and simplicity that made it a favorite in Japan. Backers also receive the opportunity to play all-new mini games through two expansions: Pachinko Party and Festival of Flavors.
Pachinko Party adds a layer of chaos and risk through a table-ready pachinko machine. With this, players launch balls and watch them bounce unpredictably toward valuable payouts or unfortunate costs. Festival of Flavors brings the tastes of a summer matsuri through a stand-alone card game. Players will negotiate, barter, and trade festival foods with opponents to satisfy their villagers’ cravings, earn extra points, or unlock more chances to play. Each game can stand alone or be combined with En-nichi.
“En-nichi is all about celebrating the atmosphere of Japanese festivals, and we’re incredibly excited to share that tradition with players everywhere,” says Ai Namima-Davidson, Co-Owner of Mugen Gaming. “Seeing it reach new audiences with the care and cultural respect Vala Foundry brings is so meaningful for our team.”
