Disney Store is bringing back the magic to brick-and-mortar — thanks to Go! Retail Group.
Together, the companies are launching Disney Store Limited Time, a series of temporary pop-up shops across the U.S. that reimagine the immersive Disney Stores of the ‘90s and early 2000s for a new generation of families. Many locations are in development, but two sites are already confirmed: Ross Park Mall in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, opening May 23, and Westfield Garden State Plaza Mall in Paramus, New Jersey, slated for this fall.
At Disney Store Limited Time, families will step into a highly themed world filled with their favorite characters and franchises. Each section will showcase a different Disney character or franchise, from princesses and Pixar to Marvel and Star Wars. On the shelves, shoppers will find a curated selection of merchandise fit for fans of all ages, including apparel and accessories, toys, games, plush, home goods, pins, and collectibles, as well as pop-up exclusives.
Go! Retail Group will staff and run the day-to-day operations of each location. The family-owned company has a strong presence in the retail-tainment space, most notably through its management of Toys “R” Us and the store’s massive holiday pop-up program.
Although Disney has closed most of its physical retail shops over the years, the company still owns and operates 21 Disney Store locations worldwide, as well as store-within-a-store shops at select Target stores.
