Families can celebrate with The Pigeon as Mo Willems rolls out a new picture book and a collection of party-themed extras timed to the character’s annual birthday.

It’s My Bird-Day! ($18.99) arrives in stores March 31, just ahead of The Pigeon’s April 1 birthday, a date long associated with the character’s playful personality. A 10-inch plush from Yottoy will accompany his flight to shelves.

The new book follows The Pigeon as he prepares for his big bird-day, complete with a party hat, a hot dog cake, and a surprise he may or may not be ready to handle. The story builds on the humor and expressive storytelling that have made The Pigeon a favorite with kids and families for years, while offering a fun option for birthday gifting and read-aloud moments.

The celebration continues beyond the picture book with a lineup of themed activities and gift items designed to keep kids engaged before, during, and after the big day. It’s The Pigeon Party Book!
