Cake Picnic is serving up another helping of community and creativity this summer. The global event brand is partnering with Strawberry Shortcake for its latest London gathering, bringing hundreds of bakers together in Greenwich Park July 5.
“I am so excited to bring Cake Picnic back to London, and to do it alongside Strawberry Shortcake,” says Elisa Sunga, Founder of Cake Picnic. “There is something magical about hundreds of people each carrying a cake they made themselves, all in one park, in the middle of summer. London bakers have such heart and such imagination, and I cannot wait to see what they create.”
The global cake-sharing phenomenon will return to Greenwich Park July 5 in partnership with Strawberry Shortcake. The event will welcome 500 bakers across two sessions, with each participant bringing a whole cake to share as part of the community-driven celebration of baking, creativity, and connection.
Set against the backdrop of one of London’s most iconic parks, Cake Picnic invites bakers of all skill levels to participate, from first-time cake makers to experienced decorators. The event has grown into a worldwide sensation, bringing together thousands of attendees through a simple concept: bring a cake and share it with others.
Families will also have the chance to take part in a Strawberry Shortcake-themed Berry Beginners cake decorating class. Hosted by cake artist Ashley Holt, the workshop will teach young bakers basic piping techniques as they decorate their own berry-inspired creations.
The partnership adds a playful twist to this year’s festivities, pairing the beloved character brand with an event centered on creativity, community, and, of course, plenty of sweets.
Tickets for the private event were released June 23 through the Cake Picnic website. Attendees must reserve tickets in advance and bring a whole cake to participate.
Since launching, Cake Picnic has expanded into a global event series with more than a dozen tour stops and more than 11,000 cakes shared worldwide.
