Build-A-Bear honors National Teddy Bear Day with a fundraiser in support of the Build-A-Bear Foundation.
Starting Sept. 9, at Build-A-Bear Workshops across the U.S., guests can donate via the pin pad at checkout. Guests can also give online. The Foundation will donate a teddy bear to a children’s hospital for every dollar donated through Sept. 16.
“Teddy bears are timeless because they stand for comfort, friendship and imagination,” says Kim Utlaut, Chief Brand Officer at the Build-A-Bear Workshop. “At Build-A-Bear, we see every day how a furry friend can become part of a family tradition, a milestone memory, or a simple reminder that someone cares. National Teddy Bear Day is really about celebrating the simple joy of a hug and the special connections our guests create through the Build-A-Bear make-your-own experience.”
The retailer will offer a two-for-$25 Lil’ Cub special at stores and online Sep. 9, National Teddy Bear Day, offering customers a discount on two stuffed cub bears.
