A new kind of sound is entering the kids’ entertainment solar system. Republic Records: Kids & Family signed a new pop group from another planet: the Bobblys.
Journeying all the way from outer space, the Bobblys are colorful singing aliens ready to learn everything they can about Earth — and help teach kids along the way. The group made its musical debut in Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie with the song “Cat Party,” and now they’re releasing their first EP, Blast Off!. The album is available for download and streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and other music platforms.
New to the solar system, the Bobblys encourage little listeners to explore the world like an alien would — with curiosity, imagination, and enthusiasm. The six-song EP transforms everyday experiences into out-of-this-world fun, from learning the ABCs to getting ready for bed. Whether blasting through the stars or stuck in the carpool lane, the Bobblys inspire kids to get up, get moving, and find the magic in every moment.
The Bobblys are the creation of Ryan Crego, the Emmy Award-winning Executive Producer behind many beloved animated projects, including the recent hit Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie. To write the Bobblys’ music, Crego collaborated with Grammy Award-winning composer and producer Alex Geringas, whose melodies have featured in kid-favorite franchises like Pinkfong, Cocomelon, Disney, and Nickelodeon.
Crego shares, “Bobblys was inspired by my three kids, ages 8, 4, and 1. I wanted to create music with Alex that captured their sense of wonder and that our whole family could enjoy together. They became our most important collaborators — and our official focus group — we chose the songs they engaged with the most. Bobblys is filled with the joy and curiosity I see in them, and I’m thrilled to share that feeling with families everywhere.”
While the Bobblys are still new on the music scene, word on the street is that potential partners are already circling the license for toyetic expansion.
Blast Off! is available now on Spotify, Apple Music, and other music streaming platforms. To learn more about the Bobblys and licensing opportunities, visit kidsandfamily.republicrecords.com.
