Tatro Toys is positioning itself for a relaunch. After pausing production during the pandemic, the Baton Rouge toy company will return in 2026 with a renewed commitment to inclusivity.
Under the direction of founder and certified play expert Will Barrios, the next generation of Tatro Toys will reflect the wide diversity present in today’s families. From multicultural and blended homes to LGBTQ+ characters, the company aims to make every kid feel seen, represented, and celebrated in the toy aisle.

Headlining the relaunch is the debut of Tatro Toys’ all-new mascot: Flicker. This magical, glowing fox will star in songs, storybooks, and a series of toys, encouraging kids to let their inner light shine. The first Flicker toy, a limited-edition plush, is available now for preorder, alongside a wave of apparel, accessories, and more featuring the charming creature.
“Flicker embodies the spark of imagination inherent in every child,” shared Will Barrios, Founder of Tatro Toys. “When families expressed the desire for toys that looked more like their own lives, we listened closely. Our mission is both simple and profound: every child deserves to see themselves represented in play, and every family deserves to feel like a valued part of the narrative.”
Underscoring its new mission, Tatro Toys is calling upon families to help shape its relaunch through its #RewriteTheToyStory campaign. This activation encourages families worldwide to join the conversation and share their unique stories, ensuring the company remains grounded in the authentic experiences of real families.
The limited-edition Flicker plush is available for preorder, alongside a selection of exclusive merchandise. For more information about Tatro Toys and its relaunch, visit tatrotoys.com.
