Playmates Toys is expanding its 2026 toy lineup with new action figures and play experiences inspired by fan-favorite franchises, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, G.I. Joe, Godzilla, and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The new releases focus on imaginative play, character mashups, and collectible figures for kids ages 4 and up.
A new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles X G.I. Joe collaboration brings together characters from both worlds in a lineup of 4.5-inch action figures that reimagine classic heroes and villains. The assortment pairs characters such as Leonardo with Snake Eyes and Raphael with Roadblock, as well as mashups featuring Shredder and Cobra Commander. The line also includes two vehicles — the Turtle-Fly Copter with spinning blades and action features, and the A.W.E. Shell-Striker vehicle with four-wheel suspension and missile-firing play. The collection will be available exclusively at Target beginning in August.
Playmates is also introducing Kaiju Rangers, inspired by the comic series Godzilla vs Mighty Morphin Power Rangers II. The figures blend Power Rangers characters with monster-inspired designs and feature multiple points of articulation, signature weapons, and display stands. The first wave includes Green “Godzilla” Ranger, Blue “Anguirus” Ranger, and Red “Rodan” Ranger, with more releases planned later this year.
The company continues to grow its Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Re-Ignition toy line with new products tied to the second season of the series. Highlights include Thunder Zords that combine to form a Mega Thunderzord, classic 8-inch-scale figures inspired by the original 1993 toys, and Auto-Morphin figures that transform from teen to hero with a simple lever action. Collectible mini figures and additional characters will roll out throughout the year.
The new toys bring action-packed battles, transformation features, and collectible play to kids and longtime fans alike, with releases planned across Spring, Summer, and Fall 2026.
