Heeboo has named Sherry Gunther Shugerman as Co-CEO as the company continues to build out its fan-powered entertainment model.
“I’m excited to join Heeboo at such a pivotal time for the industry,” says Gunther Shugerman.
Gunther Shugerman is a two-time Emmy Award winner and a veteran producer whose work includes The Simpsons, Rugrats, Family Guy, Dexter’s Laboratory, and The Powerpuff Girls. She joins Heeboo with experience across major studios, including Fox, Warner Bros., and Nickelodeon, as well as entrepreneurial roles in the kids’ media and consumer brands sectors.
In her new role, Gunther Shugerman leads alongside existing Co-CEO Andrew Pelekis as Heeboo expands its slate of digital-first franchises and continues developing its model that links creators, fans, and financing at the earliest stages of IP development.
“The way stories are created, distributed, and owned is changing,” Gunther Shugerman adds. “Heeboo’s vision to empower fans, creators, and investors through a shared ecosystem of ownership and participation is exactly what the entertainment world needs next.”
Heeboo was launched by the team behind Claynosaurz and focuses on building new franchises through community participation and audience validation prior to broader distribution. The company’s approach aims to create long-term entertainment brands supported by early fan engagement and scalable digital ecosystems.
