Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America (BNTCA) is getting into the gaming space with its new Gundam tabletop game.
Gundam Assemble is a competitive, miniature tabletop game in which players use mobile suits and other units from the Mobile Suit Gundam series as playing pieces. Players assemble and paint miniatures, then enter strategic, squad-based combat. The game features multiple narrative tie-ins to Mobile Suit Gundam.
One of the products in the drop is the Gundam Assemble Starter Set ($35). This kit includes everything players need to get started on the game and includes six miniatures, a game map, a 10-sided die, cardboard terrain, game tokens, tactic cards, and more. During the game, players have a minimum squad configuration of 3 vs. 3 units, resolve attacks with dice rolls, and more.
The game will launch with five items in October, followed by monthly releases, with more than 30 items expected to drop over the following year.
To go along with the launch, BNTCA is launching Bandai Tambletop Games, an event-management platform where players can sign up for official tournaments, match record tracking, and find support tools. Bandai Tabletop Games is available at bandai-tabletop-games.com.
