Barbie Celebrates WNBA Star Angel Reese with New Doll

Basketball superstar Angel Reese is joining the Barbie Dream Team. Mattel is recognizing the WNBA standout with a doll that celebrates her game-changing impact on and off the court.  

On top of her trophies, Reese is a champion of equality, using her platform to encourage young girls to lead with confidence, chase their dreams, and create opportunities for themselves and others. In 2023, she founded the Angel C. Reese Foundation, which has helped expand access to sports, education, financial literacy, and more for kids in underrepresented communities. Her courage, dedication, and fearless advocacy make Reese a natural fit for Mattel’s Barbie Role Models line, and families can score her doll now at most major retailers.

Intended for kids ages 6 and up, the Angel Reese doll sports a hot pink jersey featuring her Atlanta Dream number, No. 5, on the front and her Chicago Sky and LSU numbers, No. 10, on the back. She rocks her signature long nails and leg sleeve, which pair perfectly with her headband, layered jewelry, and, of course, a bright pink Barbie basketball accessory. 

Rounding out the look is a pair of custom Angel Reese 1 Reeboks, featuring a new Barbie-inspired colorway. As a bonus, Reebok is releasing the same sneakers in kids and adult sizes next month, so fans can lace up just like the legend.

To tip off the collab, Mattel and Reebok are debuting the collectible doll and shoes at TOGETHXR House Chicago, a multi-day activation celebrating women’s sports and culture co-owned by Reese. During WNBA All-Star Weekend, July 24-25, families at the fest can step inside the Angel Reese Dream Closet to get an up-close look at the new products, snap epic pics, and even shop a limited-edition Barbie x Angel Reese capsule collection, featuring apparel and accessories inspired by the doll. 

The celebration continues in Atlanta, Georgia, Aug. 3. During the matchup between the Atlanta Dream and Las Vegas Aces at State Farm Arena, Mattel will host a Barbie-inspired game day takeover, complete with exclusive co-branded merch for fans to swipe. The Angel Reese Barbie Signature doll is available now in-store at Target and online at Target, Walmart, Amazon, and Mattel Shop. Meanwhile, the new Angel Reese 1 Reeboks will launch Aug. 3 at 10 a.m. EST at Dick’s Sporting Goods, Footlocker, and reebok.com.
