Fans of the heroes in a half shell have a new destination for pizza and nostalgia. The first official Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pizzeria will open Saturday, June 20 in Santa Monica, California, bringing the iconic franchise into the growing world of themed dining experiences.
The concept was developed by entrepreneur Andy Nguyen, whose previous licensed restaurant ventures include the One Piece Cafe in Los Angeles’ Little Tokyo district and a Sonic the Hedgehog Speed Cafe in Atlanta, Georgia.
Designed to capture the spirit of the franchise, the restaurant features wall-to-wall TMNT-themed decor, including references to the Turtles’ signature ooze and neon-inspired visuals. Guests can order classic New York-style pizza while shopping for exclusive merchandise, including T-shirts, pins, and keychains. A small bar will serve alcoholic beverages on weekends.
Located at 1444 Third Street, the pizzeria celebrates its grand opening at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20. According to reports, the event features appearances by Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo.
The Santa Monica location marks the first of three planned TMNT pizzerias. Additional restaurants are slated to open in Monterrey, Mexico, and São Paulo, Brazil, extending the brand’s footprint through location-based entertainment and experiential retail.
