Hasbro is bringing out of this world entertainment to Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC). As part of a collaboration with Reigning Phoenix Music, the brand brings its The Transformers: The Movie 40th celebration to the convention.
Like the upcoming tribute album, the anniversary concert features music from Knights Of Unicron; Britta Phillips, the original singing voice of Jem from Jem and the Holograms; and Vince DiCola, who composed scores for The Transformers: The Movie and Cold Slither. Additionally, Stan Bush will sing “The Touch.”
“It means so much to me that the music, especially ‘The Touch,’ still connects with people in such a powerful way,” shares Bush.
Tickets, including VIP packages, for the July 23 concert at House of Blues San Diego are available now. Additional details will be announced in the coming weeks; the concert is part of Hasbro’s apology tour, a yearlong campaign commemorating 40 years of The Transformers: The Movie.
Exclusive merchandise will be available for purchase at the concert.
Hasbro will also bring a suite of Transformers exclusives to SDCC, including Transformers Optimus Prime and Autobot Jazz Cereal Box Set, and Transformers Jem and the Holograms Autobot Blaster.

Hasbro Pulse is collaborating with Fathom Entertainment to bring The Transformers: The Movie back to theaters in 4K Sep. 17-21. Tickets will be available later this summer.
During the yearlong campaign, Hasbro Pulse has debuted The Transformers: The Movie 40th Anniversary lineup. They include action figures of movie characters Shockwave, Skywarp, Snarl, Wheeljack, Kranix, Sunstreaker, and Astrotrain.
