‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’ Heads to Nintendo Switch 2

This week’s Nintendo Download is led by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, which brings the long-running shooter franchise back to Nintendo platforms when it launches on Nintendo Switch 2 Oct. 23. Nintendo also spotlights Mina the Hollower, arriving May 29 for the Switch and Switch 2, while mobile game Pictonico! launches today for iOS and Android. ‘Nickelodeon Extreme Tennis: Next!’ Launches on Consoles and PC

The arcade tennis game Nickelodeon Extreme Tennis: Next! brings Nickelodeon characters, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Aang, and CatDog, to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Steam with local multiplayer and character-based abilities.

Nickelodeon Extreme Tennis: Next! is available digitally on consoles and PC, bringing Nickelodeon-inspired arcade tennis action to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. Expanding beyond its mobile roots, the party-style sports game features 15 characters from franchises including SpongeBob SquarePants, CatDog, and Avatar: The Last Airbender, pairing fast-paced matches, character-specific abilities, and couch multiplayer with unlockable cosmetics and arcade-inspired challenges.

‘Donkey Kong 64’ Joins Nintendo Switch Online June 3

Players can revisit Donkey Kong 64 solo or in multiplayer when Donkey Kong, Diddy, Tiny, Lanky, and Chunky swing in the Nintendo 64 library.

Donkey Kong 64 joins the Nintendo 64 — Nintendo Classics library June 3 for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 players with a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership. The classic adventure follows Donkey Kong and his crew as they battle K. Rool, collect Golden Bananas, and explore sprawling worlds using each character’s unique abilities, with four-player split-screen battle modes also available.

Bluey Takes Over Apple Arcade in Limited-Time Crossover Event

Apple Arcade is bringing Bluey to five games through a limited-time crossover event, adding themed content to Crossy Road Castle, Suika Game+, Disney Coloring World+, and more. Players can explore Bluey and Bingo’s house in Crossy Road Castle, complete themed puzzles and coloring activities, and unlock characters and collectibles inspired by the hit animated series. Event availability varies by game, with updates running through July 21.

Alongside the crossover, Apple Arcade is expanding its lineup with four games launching June 4: Mini Football Legends, My Talking Tom 2+, Coffee Inc 2+, and FreeCell Solitaire: Card Game+. Apple also announced select Arcade titles, including Crossy Road Castle and Hello Kitty Island Adventure, will offer free introductory experiences through the App Store without a subscription.

Avatar: The Last Airbender Returns to ‘Heroes vs. Hordes’ with Limited-Time Event

Avatar: The Last Airbender is returning to Heroes vs. Hordes for a limited-time crossover event running from through July 3. Players join Aang on a journey across the Four Nations, battling Fire Nation enemies, facing mini-bosses including Zuko and Azula, and ultimately confronting Lord Ozai in the mobile roguelite action RPG.

The event brings back unlockable heroes Aang, Katara, and Sokka while introducing Zuko, Toph, and Suki to Team Avatar. Players can also hatch Appa and Momo as combat pets usable across all game modes and collect Earth Kingdom Coins and wheel tickets to unlock rewards. The crossover follows last year’s collaboration and will be available for a limited time before event-exclusive content disappears July 3.

Canada Soccer Brings Men’s National Team to ‘FIFA Super Soccer’ on Roblox

Canada Soccer is bringing the Canada Men’s National Team to FIFA Super Soccer on Roblox through a limited-time event tied to the road to the FIFA World Cup 2026. Running through May 29, the activation introduces Canada Soccer’s newly unveiled Nike match kits and marks the first time the national team will be playable in the game. Players can complete themed challenges, compete in a Canada-inspired experience, and unlock a Northern Lights-themed goal celebration reward.

The event also adds a Canada Soccer superfan NPC to guide quests, arriving ahead of the country’s FIFA World Cup 2026 roster reveal and send-off matches. The collaboration marks Canada Soccer’s biggest Roblox activation to date and follows similar FIFA Super Soccer partnerships with U.S. Soccer, Borussia Dortmund, and Brazil as Gamefam continues to connect sports organizations with younger audiences through immersive gaming platforms.

Nex Launches Dora Star Explorer for Nex Playground

Nex is expanding its lineup of family-focused active games with Dora Star Explorer, a motion- and voice-based adventure inspired by Nickelodeon’s Dora franchise. Available exclusively through Nex Playground’s Play Pass subscription, the game invites players to help Dora restore fallen stars by exploring five colorful environments, interacting with familiar characters including Boots, Backpack, Isa, and Swiper, and completing story-driven mini games through movement and voice commands.

Designed for preschoolers and family play, Dora Star Explorer introduces voice interaction to Nex Playground alongside motion-based gameplay, allowing players to chomp, clap, shout, and move to trigger on-screen actions. The experience supports solo or two-player cooperative play and includes randomized mini games for replayability. Nex says parents can disable microphone functionality at any time, with voice prompts only activated when needed and supported by clear on-screen indicators.

Finch Teams With Warner Bros. for First In-App Franchise Collaboration

Self-care app Finch launches a month-long experience June 1, adding Supergirl-inspired outfits, Krypto companion features, themed spaces, and self-care activities tied to the upcoming film.
