Hasbro Entertainment has appointed Rob Doherty as vice president of production, strengthening its leadership as the company continues to expand its animation and digital content efforts.
In the role, Doherty oversees production across Hasbro’s growing slate, supporting development and execution of content tied to the company’s portfolio of brands and IP. “I’m extremely excited to be joining Hasbro at a time of growth and expansion and am looking forward to working with some of the world’s most iconic brands,” says Doherty.
Doherty brings more than 30 years of experience in children’s television, with a background spanning development and international co-productions. He has held senior roles at companies including Aardman Animations, The Walt Disney Company, ITV, Endemol, and Cake Entertainment.
Most recently, Doherty led consultancy Relevant Content, advising clients on emerging platforms such as Roblox and the broader social gaming ecosystem. His recent credits include work on Angry Birds: Summer Madness, Supa Team 4, and Space Chickens in Space.
“[Rob] brings a rare combination of production leadership, creative instinct, and deep industry experience,” shares Tom Hartley, VP, Animation & Digital Content. “As we continue to grow our animation and digital content slate, Rob’s expertise in development, production, and emerging platforms will be a major asset to the team and our broader ambitions.”
Doherty is also the founder of Festivus, an animation community and networking group that has grown to more than 13,000 members.
The appointment comes as Hasbro continues to scale its content ambitions across film, television, and digital platforms.
